ERRATIC STARTING - Peugeot 207 diesel - HELP!!!!!!

Hi Guys and Gals, I'm posting for a friend (I'm usually on the Citroen page for my Xantia).

She has a 2003 Peugeot 206 SW DIESEL TURBO (2 litre) and has spasmodic starting problems. Sometimes it starts on the first turn on the key and then other times it doesn't BUT once its been started in the morning its OK for the rest of the day. When it doesn't start, she has to leave it for about 30 minutes and then it will spring into life. When it's running, it's excellent with lots of power and runs very sweetly withy no burps or belches (sorry, don't know how else to describe it - lol).

She's had new glow plugs and a camshaft sensor (no idea what that is but I'm sure many of you will) but to no avail.

Any ideas, no matter how obscure, gratefully received as she loves the car.

Has it been plugged in to check for codes? Is it an XUD or HDI, and what size / turbo or not?

I'm ever so sorry. I made a complete mess of my post (since corrected). It is a Peugeot 206 (NOT 207) SW TURBO 2 litre. I feel such a fool. Please forgive me. Yes, it has had a plug-in thingy done and nothing showed up. As I said, it is spasmodic and, at this time of writing, it is not starting. Any help gratefully received. x
