A high biting point usually means wear! Clutches can wear in less than 20k miles! Driving style makes a difference as well as the quality of the components used.

Re: Citroen c2 1.1 design 05 high clutch bite
I drive my car very careful i don't rag it about the road and I have been told different things off other people saying it's meant to be that high but I just don't think it's meant to be as high as it is because the bite is basically when I'm taking my foot off the pedal which to me is not right

Re: Citroen c2 1.1 design 05 high clutch bite
The C2s generally have very high biting points - but if you are getting a clutch type burning smell in the car, then the clutch is overheating and the plate friction material is wearing. I would definitely get it checked out sooner rather than later. It may be able to be adjusted.

From what I can see the clutch is self adjusting anyway - so no help there I'm afraid.

Re: Citroen c2 1.1 design 05 high clutch bite
I would, and make sure it contains the thrust bearing too as they always recommend replacing these with the clutch. Get them to check it out too when fitting it to make sure there's no oil or grease anywhere. If it's smoking now it will not be doing it any good, so limit driving until you can get it fixed.

Re: Citroen c2 1.1 design 05 high clutch bite
Unless you've actually got a receipt with a date on I'd take the two years ago with a pinch of salt. I've had many people phone and say" You did my clutch about a year ago". When I check my records it's 3 or 4 years! If you can smell the clutch it's gone definitely!
