Parking Sensors

Unread post by user_3150 »

Hi everyone, I haven't posted for a long time as I've been moving house, fitting a new kitchen and shower etc etc so the car has been left alone. Anyway back to the subject. Has anyone purchased these parking sensors and fitted them or have any preferences. I have seen them on ebay for £34 does this seem too cheap if so how much should I spend?

Hi Alec,
I have fitted parking sensors to my Xantia. Fairly straight forward, but watch out where you position the control unit and have it so the unit is pointing downwards, as I didn't and water leaked into the boot and into the control unit[:I] I was lucky and it dried out okay. Another thing, if you can, position the bleeper under the dash as it will be louder their.
They are a great asset to your reversing and make the job much simpler.

Thanks Paul, How much did you pay for them? And where did you get them from? If you don't mind me asking.

You have parking sensors by www.waeco.de
I find them affordable and work perfectly on my Frontera B.
BTW i have those that pop on the surface of the bumper, you have to drill 3 22mm diametre hole for them.
