Re: gear linkage
I’ll have to assume you are talking about the Picasso in you profile panel. Post or PM your VIN if you want instructions.

Re: gear linkage
I think you misread one character in the VIN - I've PM'd you, but I think I have what is should be:
XSARA PICASSO FAMILY SALOON 1.6 HDi 92 (DV6ATED4) Manual gearbox 5 with a build date (RPO 10825 which you can check on the tyre inflation pressures sticker). Give me a minute and I'll take a look at the procedure for you.

Re: gear linkage
Here is the adjustment procedure first of all - in case you can adjust the cable. I will follow up with the replacement after.
Note the cables must be adjusted each tome the following are removed:
Gearbox, Power Unit or Gear Selectors.
Check
| Parts |
| Positioning tool for the gear lever 9607-T |
Gearbox, Power Unit or Gear Selectors.
| Adjustment (Inside the Vehicle) | Under The Bonnet |
|
|
- Remove the tool [1].
- Check that you can shift through all the gears without running into any tight spots.
- Check that the movement of the gear lever is the same from front to back and from right to left; otherwise repeat the adjustment.
- Refit the interior trim under the gear lever.
- Refit the air filter assembly.

Re: gear linkage
Here's the removal / refitting guide. Raise and support the vehicle on a 2 post lift.
| Inside the Vehicle | |
| Disconnect the battery negative terminal. Remove (on each side):
Unplug:
| Unclip the control cables (7) from the gear lever at "a". |
| Remove the ventilation duct (8). Unclip the sleeves of the control cables (7) from the control support at "b" Using circlip pliers. N.B. : When removing, attach the control cables together so as to make it easier to pass them through the bulkhead when refitting. | Under the vehicle Remove:
|
| CAUTION : Do not use a tool to unclip the ball-joints. Unlock the ball-joints (10) by pressing in the centre "c" and pulling them upwards. | Unclip the sleeves of the control cables (7) on the gearbox Using circlip pliers. Remove the control cables (7). |
| Refitting N.B. : Coat the bulkhead filter foam with a soapy water type lubricant to make it easier to refit the control cables.
|
| N.B. : Unlock the ball-joint keys at "d", before clipping the ball-joints onto the gear selection levers. | Conditions required before adjusting:
|
| N.B. : Check that you can shift through all the gears without running into any tight spots. Check that the movement of the gear lever is the same from front to back and from right to left; otherwise repeat the adjustment. Refit:
