Hi guys.
My RCZ recently started making a new noise. It sounds a bit like it's coming from the aux belt area. It isn't the timing chain, unless Peugeot fit substandard parts as it's only just had the chain, guides, tensioners, vvt sprockets and an oil change done. I'd say max 3k ago.
Also this noise can be heard when the car is warmed up.
It's a kind of "chuff" noise, to my ears anyway. I shot a video of it doing it earlier. The link is at the bottom.
Thanks.

Re: THP engine noise.
I have listened to the clip a few times, but can't really decide what the noise is. Maybe a slightly blown exhaust manifold gasket, but the rate seems a bit slow for that.
I think more likely a problem with the auxilliary belt or tensioner, or maybe the friction wheel that drives the water pump. I did not know there was one until I just read https://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticl ... cement.htm

Re: THP engine noise.
Thank you. I must admit, I feel it's something to do with the belt/pulley set up. Possibly one of the larger pulleys? Due to the speed at which it seems to "cycle".
