Cambelt change
My car was due for cambelt change, I took it to my local garage on Friday afternoon not the Peugeot Dealer a independent garage. I was in the waiting room because outside is pouring rain, I can see through window in the front of me explore outer the service room what my mechanical is currently do my car for near 2 1/2 hours, to me seem I have learn something is different that he don't use a timing tools to lock the engine prevent from move, he just mark the teeth of camshaft wheel and bottom crackshaft wheel with a white pen, are all the professional mechanical don't require use a special timing tools?

Re: Cambelt change
Marking the pulleys with Tippex is a shortcut which to my mind doesn't save all that much time.

Re: Cambelt change
I do both, and then transplant the marks to the new belt just in case you have the, 'which half tooth?' question
