Ray Noon

Post by white exec »

The really sad news was posted on Club-XM that Ray Noon passed away in the early hours yesterday, Saturday 21 July.

He had been determined to make the most of every remaining day, and set out to put together a sponsored valedictory Grand Tour of France and towards Gibraltar, supported by members and friends - as drivers of his very floaty XM - along the route. Having exchanged many forum posts with Ray, I had the great pleasure in meeting up with him and Matthew (MTXM) in Almeria on the Tour for a relaxing day by the Med.

He really will be much missed, but never forgotten.

What sad news, a really nice chap in my limited dealings with him.

From the few times I met him I found him to be a decent, sound bloke with a genuine interest in French metal, especially XM's.

RIP

Ray's funeral will be held on Tuesday 31st at 13:20, at Thornton Crematorium, Liverpool, L23 1TP.
Some friends from Club-XM are hoping to be be there.
If anyone else in a position to make it, it would be nice for Ray and his family if we could maybe get a few Citroens at the funeral.

Ciaran (Club-XM) has confirmed that he will be coming over from Ireland in his XM to be at Ray's funeral in Liverpool on Tuesday.
It would really be good if just one more FCF member could get there, so we could have something of a Citroen presence at the occasion.
Ray was someone rather special, and had some good friends and followers here.
Time, date, location in the post above.

I'd go but I've no real Citroen to go in!
