Hi,
I'm Dave from NW Scotland near Eilean Donan Castle.
Garage Owner specialising in Diagnostics and Rectification work as well as the more mundane stuff, I usually get all the jobs no one else can fix.
Moderator on a different marque Forum.
Vehicles owned by me:- Peugeot Expert Workshop Van, plus various other vehicles owned.
I have just bought Diagbox Lexia / PP2000 latest version and have loads of different Dealer Level machines for all the popular marques on our "Heilan Roads".
I have a couple of fixes that I needed to apply to my Diagbox before it would work correctly, they may well have already been discussed here before, but I'll have a quick look in the Diagnostic Forum, and post up the details if I don't see them there already.
Cheers for now, Dave

Re: Hi
Hi and welcome.
There are thousands of pages on the diagnostics section and specifically in the merged Lexia & Diagbox threads - covering just about everything. We have no created a new Diagnostics section for specific issues now due to repetition.

Re: Hi
That's why we created a new section as it was getting difficult to locate specifics and there was a lot of duplication, so I am going to strictly moderate that section now -

Re: Hi
looked it up on Googlemaps, remote spot!
I'm curious, with reliability in mind and likely high mileages covered, whether there's a particular marque that's 'favoured' locally, Toyota perhaps?
Been up the A82 a couple of times (for Nairn) but never out that far west.
Shout when Air an Rathad returns to our screens, used to quite enjoy it, Top Gear without the budget but with more of interest.

Hi,
A lot of the more affluent locals just buy Brand new various marques, and everyone I know has at least 2 Vehicles and a recovery plan
My personal fleet = 3 Mercedes, a Rally Car and Workshop Van ................ His = Mercedes S55AMG W220 and Peugeot Expert Workshop Van, Hers = C220 CDI W203, plus Family Bussie V220 CDI Ambiente W638, plus a self built Cat 2 Stage Rally Car, a Ford Puma with 24V V6 Cosworth and 4X4 Cosworth Running Gear, (North / South Engine now)
My Diagnostic machines reflect the most poular stuff i see in my workshop over the last 3 years or so .............
In no particular order I have Jag / Landrover, Ford, Mercedes Benz, BMW, Vauxhall / Opel, VAG, and now Peugeot Citroen Dealer Level plus 2 good Generics, Snap On and Delphi.
Next Dealer level will be Renault Can Clip.
I think out of that lot the ones that get used most are Merceded SDS and VAG, so I'm guessing they must be the most popular vehicles. BMW, Mercedes and VAG fleet Vehicles I look after I have several on my books that have 240,000 miles plus and still drive great, OK, the owners do spend a lot of money with me, but we keep on top of them
Regarding Air an Rathad, I do part time DJ'ing and actually played a Wedding for one of the Guys involved in it, Camera man was his best man, they got married in Eilean Donan and had the Reception at a local Hotel, right characters
Cheers for now, Dave

Re: Hi
Ahead of you there then, must've been through Dornie maybe 1/2-doz times but it's no longer my route of choice onto Skye (as a stepping stone to the Outer Hebrides.) Ironically, should've been up there later this month, but for 2nd year running had to put off the Cherokee's annual break from its endless wanderings over Dartmoor. One day, when I've got more time (or, perhaps, even less money) I'll take the C15.Pug_XUD_KeenAmateur wrote: 06 Jul 2018, 19:22 looked it up on Googlemaps, remote spot!
