fabulous! and there was me thinking upon reading the title that someone had been reading 'the Sun', apparently some fella smeared his underpants with Marmite (faux faeces), photographed them on the Steering Wheel and listed them for sale on eBay as an Anti-Theft Device, Disc Steering Lock style. They found a buyer!
Classy! :lolhit:

A slightly serious 'take' on this old subject.

In the course of deciding not to bother to look at a car that was advertised recently, placing it firmly in the "dodgy" bracket, I got to thinking about actual, serious Anti-Theft devices.

Has anyone installed Kill Switches (Ignition / Fuse Box / Fuel) on an XUD?

I'm kinda thinking which option falls best into the 'simple but effective' category? I'm in no hurry to spend hours spannering.

Wonder if it would be possible to rig the above remote control battery kill switch with a 3G Auto Dialler such as this one.....
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GSM-3G-Auto- ... 3f833d3c12
....so that it will send you a text if / when the car is started and then allow you to operate the kill switch remotely by sending the 3G Auto Dialler a text telling it to operate the relay ?

The only drawback being that instead of the scrotes torching your car when they get to their intended destination, they'll just torch it when it conks out down the road
Sadly no longer a C5 owner :(
