Insurance for Candian visitor ? Sorted in part

Unread post by Stickyfinger »

How easy/costly do you think it would be to put a Canadian Military Police Snr Staff Srg'nt and his British wife (still has records/active insurance on a VW Polo in the Uk) onto my 2ltrTD C5 Excslv Tourer insurance for 2 weeks ?

They’ll likely be an admin fee to start with of min £25, but it may be easier and cheaper to add any driver 25+ cover rather than go through all the separate details of each of them as named drivers Alasdair.

It cost me £98 to add my 29 year old female Colombian cousin to my normal direct line policy for the Berlingo for 90 days. That was with an international licence issued in her home country.

I wanted to loan my Aussie niece a Xantia but they were told Aussie licence holders couldn't be covered on a loaned car.

I did the paperwork and sold them the car (on paper), the broker then set up a full years cover for them and at the same time set up a cancellation for a months time so they only paid for the first month, then I bought the car back (on paper) when they'd finished.

Update:
£24.48 to add her to my insurance for 14 days.
As it is a private car I can not add him as he has no Uk licence.
He will have to sit and watch
