It's to do with the tyres being crap lol. Those were the tyres that were on it when I bought it, but I did not run them long. As far as I am aware the nexens were very recent when I bought the car and the Pirellis were quite old. I had 17" alloys on, shod with uniroyal rainsport 3 tyres in 215/45x17. It gripped far better and better steering feel with them on with very little detriment to the ride quality. You do get them in the correct size and rating for the standard wheels and if you want to keep the standard wheels on then that's what I would get next, although a lot of folk here go for Michelin.

Ah brill, thanks! I might get a new set as you said the back are quite old, whilst the front are still fine.

Can't help but feel the tire roar is quite loud...it's not connected to the rev and only increases with speed

Well it liked the uniroyal in 17" so I would think the 15" would be good. One of our 107 has had them in 14" and good, my 407 has two 18" on the front. I must think they are good when I keep buying them. I wonder if Uniroyal will give me commission

I quite like having wide sidewall tires, when i put 16" on my CX (will try to get them pictured together soon), I really notice the difference...I am just glad to be back in a MOT'd Citroen - really miss good rides!
