Auto locking

Unread post by RPWC »

Is there any way to disable auto locking of the rear doirs on my mk2 Dispatch van? I have stopped the cab doors from auto locking, but it doesnt work on the rears.

Rich, as I understand it, a first press on the top unlock button on the fob unlocks the cab front doors, whilst a second press unlocks the side and rear doors too.

The middle fob button unlocks all the rear doors only / loading area.

The ‘selective access’ is a security feature which is factory enabled by default to operational. The separation of front / rear cab locking can be deactivated, but will need to be done with Diagbox or by your dealer.

Marc, I knew how to use the fob, and it was just the auto locking of rear doors I wanted stopped. Its annoying when you get to place of work, go to open the door, then find you have to go back and unlock them. I will see what the dealer will charge to deactivate it, thanks.

I just included all that in case you didn’t have a manual Rich.

So when you say go back to unlock it, are you leaving the keys in the ignition then? Or do you not use the central fob button to unlock the rear?

Dealer should do it, but depends on the competence of the person doing it as to how long it would take. Shouldn’t be more than 15 minutes though!
