Fuel Filter change 2.2 psa x7

Unread post by dumpvalve »

Hi just done a full service , oil, filter , oil filter , and have also bought the fuel filter thought I would just check up on any tips as I know fuel filters can be tricky as in priming, there is a manual pump put in a very nice location, is there anything I need to look out for or any particular way of doing things..

many thanks
Andy

The priming pump is essentially there if you run out of fuel / or have drained the fuel system for example and may be needed to get the system primed. The injection ECU can only do so much and that is all Lexia can do - is to make use of the systems on the car - so if the injection system can't get the fuel through initially, Lexia can't wave a magic wand either, hence the 'bulb'.
