Has anyone successfully refilled the additive pouch used in other models?

Some have, but officially they are not supposed to be. Thery are only a pouch and very likely to rip on removing the pouch from the housing.

I was thinking of refilling it without taking the pouch out, just using the refilling kit, same way you refill the tank.

I don’t think this is possible because with the refillable tank you have venting for the air to escape whilst filling that you don’t with a bag. The bag needs to be disconnected and replaced and can't be filled in situ as far as I can tell:

That's very useful picture. What is figure 2?
I think there's no need to vent air from the bag. As the liquid quantity in it decreases, the pouch collapses and doesn't let any air in... So if you get refilling bottle connected via pipe you basically transfer liquid from one container to another without air being involved... Just a thought...
My concern would be one way valve which is probably on the bag's side of the connection...

So pump would have to be disconnected from the pouch prior to connecting the refilling kit. To do that, at least in the presented by you case, you need to disassemble the housing anyway... PSA never make things easy...

Yes, and also look at the leaking out of the fluid everywhere - I suppose he will now go and eat his lunch and keel over.

I also note he doesn't show putting the pouch back into the unit - personally if I had this type I'd just put a new bag in, so I new that the bag itself is also new and unlikely to split or wear prematurely.

Eolys is not the stuff you want to breath in or get on your skin.

I absolutely agree but you also have to be careful topping up your tank... I would say it's even safer to top up the pouch as you connect the pipe to it. You don't pour anything into a hole. No risk of big spillage. From my point of view, worth a try if you put your gloves and glasses on. If I succeed, it would be a saving of about £200. A new pouch for c-crosser costs about £300 itself...

If you go through that guy's other videos you'll find one about putting the pouch back into his pug.

You don't though that's the point - there is no 'hole' - the refill kit comes with all the tubing, the proper click-fit connector and the overflow bottle. I think you might be thinking of the 'Breather' pipe that returns any overflow back into the tank' - on a refillable tank type.

Here's a sample refill using a Peugeot as an example. Although he has a lift, it can easily be done via access from the rear wheel arch.

I agree with you. Tank is meant to be topped up, pouch is meant to be replaced. However to replace the pouch you need to take the pouch casing off the car, put it on your workbench, open it, disconnect empty pouch... So if I have empty pouch in my gloved hands, I check its condition with my eyes behind my safety glasses...
You know what I mean... If I can save £200 I'd rather put it aside in case I need to get a new FAP... 😂 😂 😂

Believe me or not, I wouldn't bother if it wasn't so expensive to replace it...

The pouches are about £108 and I think they are 1.1 lt from Eurocarcare, but agree they are more expensive compared to the kits.

Probably because you are getting 3 times the amount - that's a 3.3lt pouch.
