How much is my c5 worth?

Unread post by mckinney007 »

Hi. Apparently my car is rare and i am trying to get a value for it. It is 2009 c5 3L automatic exclusive and is high spec. Any ideas?

Mileage and VIN would be useful, as there are high spec and high spec vehicles, and will depend on options fitted. Does it have FSH? Has the steering rack been done?

Like anything it depends on what a buyer is willing to pay and what it is worth to them.

The 3.0 V6 HDI X7 C5's seem to command anything between £5000 and £10,000 at the moment. I paid £8000 last year for mine (2010 with 87,000 miles on the clock with full service history). One went for under £5000 a few months back and lasted about 4 hours before the ad was removed so was massively under valued.

I wouldn't count being for sale at £10,000 or £9000 for over 2 months, while cheaper adverts have been and gone, as being in command of the market. A cheeky £7000 offer might get a rude reply, but it could happen in the end.
