Want a good laugh? I heartily recommend the Haynes manual for the Citroen diesel engine. Although the cooling system is covered in some depth, there is no contact with reality in either the description or the pictures.I hope that there are not too many errors when it comes to doing the head job. BTW does anybody know of a reputable skimmer and pressure tester in the Southampton area?

You could try Westhorpe Engineering Ltd (Mr F.Plater) of 64 Heath Road Locks Heath Tel 01489 584116. He did a very good job of converting a standard mini head for unleaded for me in 1999 (insert valves - supply stainless steel valves.) I mention the date as the phone number may have changed since. He used to drive a BX if I remember correctly. I also purchased a reconditioned Ford Anglia engine from him many years ago (nearly 30 I expect) which performed excellently and was amazingly quiet!
