Think the best one for "I'm a hopeless geek" value for me was a few years back when I had my Renault 11TC. Snapped 68030 - which is the Motorola CPU fitted to the accelerator card in my Amiga A1200 computer.
Yes, I'm a hopeless nerd, I know.
Edit: The photo of this one I at least was able to track down!

Re: Significant Mileage Photos...
A cautionary tale....
This is what happens,if you don't pay enough attention to your significant milage "milestones".
191919 goes by the wayside, and the necessary tripometer engineering to get 191.9 is ruined by failure to prepare in advance.
So I got this today, a very poor effort!
Regards Neil

Re: Significant Mileage Photos...
Indeed - I managed to miss 222333, 222444, 222555, 222666 and will likely miss 222777.

Re: Significant Mileage Photos...
I've recently missed those as well on my Xantia, soon 223344, and not long later it will overtake a BX to become the highest mileage car I've owned. Next target 224025, which will seem trivial for this discussion, but mean 200,000 miles in my ownership. Hope this comment doesn't jinx it.

I'm not convinced you didn't prepare that. Is this coincidence or mistyping? You could have had 191919 with 919.1

Re: Significant Mileage Photos...
You are quite right Andy, I had prepared it to show 191919 and the tripometer on 919.1 bit second-division in the satisfying milage stakes though. The holy grail of tripometer engineering would have been achieved if at the precise click over to 191728 I had zero-ised the tripometer to 0.0.
Drive 191.9 miles on from that and you are into the premier league of significant milage moments all the 19's
191919 with 191.9 showing on the tripometer.

Re: Significant Mileage Photos...
About a week or so back? You may have missed seemingly insignificant 131182 a mere 51 miles on.
Why? because its the critical tripometer reset moment required to produce the hugely satisfying full house of 13's 131.3 miles later !

Re: Significant Mileage Photos...
I was heading over to Bournemouth, but I did not have a camera to hand. As I was going from the M3 to the M27 (Westbound) it was just turning 08:00. Coincidentally the milometer on the van then read 80000. Nice timing (and, I promise you, not a put up job!).

Re: Significant Mileage Photos...
To much math - period! 'sides the moment's long gone for the C15 - & the red Cherokee's lagging almost exactly 40,000 miles behind.

Re: Significant Mileage Photos...
Car has been in Scotland again yesterday.
Today I changed the oil and filters then took it for a run around.
I rarely check mileage, usually only when filling up.
Naturally, when almost home and with no camera in the car it showed 222444 and 222.2 on the trip meter
When I left home to attend the Northern, I had a range of 124 miles displayed. As the return trip is just over 160 miles I was expecting to fill up in Wetherby.
When I arrived at the Northern, the range was 125 miles
When I got back home it was 90 miles.
The low fuel light came on on Wednesday. Filled it up on Friday when it had done 618 miles. Mostly four mile trips to work and back.
It is a 65 Litre tank and previously the most I have crammed in was 72L. This time it was 72.5L! (and £93 ).

Re: Significant Mileage Photos...
happened upon this recently, taken Feb 2011, only 3 months before I got rid of my red 405
Its a bit of a rubbish pic, which hasn't been improved to a particularly acceptable level with use of my favourite 'Faststone' photo editing software, its good stuff for nowt though
