I-spy an Ugly SUV

Post by NewcastleFalcon »

Yes in the literal wilds of Northumberland I spotted one of these.

For educational purposes, and who knows someone may actually like it, I give you the ugliest front end since the Citroen H Van....and I love the Citroen H Van.

Its all subjective of course, and it could grow on me.....

Lexus obviously think they are onto a winner :-D

Most modern vehicles seem to be pig-ugly now... Must be the current fashion...

Nissan seem to specialise in plug ugly vehicles. I don't care how necessary they are to the continued prosperity of their NE factory I'd be happy never to see them again.

And another Nissan - the Elgrand - not actually available in UK.
Unsafe at anything over 50mph and gas-guzzling, although luxuriously equipped inside.
Back end as attractive as a Rodius.

I seem to recall the post states it's not available here... Surely that's one? :-D

Agree most modern or even semi-modern cars vehicles are as ugly as sin, and only part of this can be attributed to safety or economy. Leaves me wondering, is evolution degrading our eyesight? After all, we seem to be buying into things like collision avoidance systems and parking sensors etc in such a way as to suggest we may no longer use our eyes in the way which they were originally intended.

The Nissan Elgrand was produced for Eastern and US markets. Any in the UK are grey or personal imports.

Heard an advert for this on Classic FM a couple of days ago and hoped they might buck the trend.

I saw the title and thought it must be 'ironic'. Am very much in agreement with Jim's post "most moderns....."

There's one in partic that I've seen a couple of times, looks like a narrow over-tall Batmobile from the back, truly gopping.

Doesn't the SUV term rather fail to stand up to reasoning, when one thinks about it.... surely the different definitions and implied requirements of 'Sports' and 'Utility' are so far apart that they shouldn't be 'paired'.
