Lawson diesel in my neck of the woods used sell the pump kit. They even do strip downs and rebuilds. Worth giving them a call.
This is where I got my kit to do my pump a few years back ( Bosch Pump)

Just tried Google to find them Kenny, they are in compulsory liquidation since March 2017. Shame when a recommended place that someone has been happy with goes toes up.

It is always a shame when a good mob go out of business but sadly, these days the need for skilled diesel engineers are not so great and falling all the time...

Modern diesel injection systems are not so amenable to overhaul and are replaced rather than rebuilt. Those diesels with old traditional injection pumps are getting quite thin on the ground...

Many made their living from keeping the hoards of little Pug and Citroen commercial vans with XUD and DW8 engines running sweetly... Not so many about now...

HDi common rail systems just don't need the same level of skills

Any Bosch diesel service depot will do the work for you, or provide an exchange pump.
These Bosch International centres are really helpful and able, I've found.

Had I fitted the fuel heater you kindly sent me this may not have happened! However at 20 years old and well over 200k it could have been on the way out anyway!

Time to give thanks for being so undeservedly fit & healthy (all things being relative) I am again reminded.

I suggested another pump precisely because I realised that you needed Gabby back in service with the minimum of down-time - but even that's not as simple/straightforward as I had niaively assumed. Just as well Jim's around to remind us of the complications.

There's no big hurry to get Gabby running again now. I will be collecting a 107 on Monday to take care of the workhorse duties, big pug will be getting moved on and Gabby semi retired for Sunday best use! Lilpug stays as an investment.

Every time I have bought a car off a random on EBay it's been at stupid o'clock lol I've been lucky really, I've never had my fingers burnt to the bone yet. Been singed a couple of times, but if it's low value stuff can't really get that burnt. The worst eBay purchase was a C2 sensitive that I paid 800 for, train to Doncaster drove home and then I don't think I did more than 1000 miles, cost a grand in repairs and sold for 800, so cost about a quid a mile! It was advertised for sale 9 months and 6000 miles later with a broken gearbox again for 200! That's the only really bad eBay one. I've had one bad auction one, a fiesta 1.4tdci. Again spent a fortune trying to get it to run properly, didn't do much miles in it either and sold at a loss.

Buying old cars is always a gamble. Crikey buying new cars is a gamble too! At £1600 for a 61 reg 107 sportium, which has a nice spec, air con, better seats, alloys, remote locking, elec windows, tinted glass, rear spoiler only early 30k miles, newly serviced with two recent tyres cant be bad. I dont care that it has had a bump, very few cars im liable to own will be original paint and bodywork. Bigpug ain't, Gabby ain't, lilpug is and she's the oldest! Kerri's Audi has had paint, Shauns mx5 has had, his Skoda has had more hits than the Beatles and lots of paint, his 107 is quite beat up too, would need two bumpers and a couple of bits done although nothing been painted yet. So that's 6 out of 7 cars that has had or needs paintwork/bodywork. When I worked as a halter at a main Toyota dealer I would say about 1 in 5 cars needed remedial work before they were even registered. It ranged from t-cut on scratches to into the body shop for panels and paint. Even if I can see that repair on the 107, it will still bo deliveries and be cheap to run and last quite a while, and You can service then in about 20 mins, including the tea break! And I know I like them having put quite a few miles on my first one (red) and the 2nd one (black) which is now Shauns in its entirety. So I hope the 3rd one(white) is a good one. Plus, of course I can't forget my friends one which I found for her 6 months ago. It's 07 reg, about 80k I think and she loves it and it only ever needs petrol.

I suppose I should go to sleep now before I start looking on EBay to see what else I can buy! It's 1.30am, just coming up to the dangerous time

I think there is one in Aberdeen. The fuel pump should be coming off the car tomorrow. Considering that the car is going to be a keeper I may well get it professionally refurbished. My mate will do the timing belt if it needs it, that will be decided tomorrow if the belt is too covered with oil.

I love them, great little cars that can be thrashed everywhere. The 5-door we have is especially brilliant around town for the 3 of us. It so far has only ever needed petrol in the 1000-odd miles we've done in it. I prefer it to the C4 GP, as that is like driving around in a small house. I've gone from Berlingo to BMW 3 Series Tourer, to Focus, to 107.. and a motorcycle. Next I'll be on roller skates or a mini-Moto..

Take earplugs or do as I sometimes.. earphones, audio books or music just loud enough to drown out the drone of them but not enough to kill your awareness.
