Daughters dissertation survey. Male help required please

Post by c.morewood »

With the permission of the moderators Thank you.

My daughter Robyn is in her last year of a Applied Social Sciences degree at Aberdeen Robert Gordon’s university Aberdeen.

She is currently involved in a dissertation about the psychological wellbeing of males in relation to age and body image. She has chosen this subject as it has not been researched before and she is hoping to come up with some ground breaking results. She is trying to get as large a selection and cross section of males as possible in order to make the study meaningful.

I was wondering if you might be interested in Taking part in the study? As you will see from her introduction, the voluntary study is completely confidential with only Robyn and her tutor being able to access personal details. The responses will be completely destroyed when the study Is over and the results published.

The survey is easily completed in 5 minutes and actually makes you think about the way you think about yourself.

Should you wish to participate or if you have any questions, please email Robyn directly at her email addresses in the folowing link.

Chris, I have completed it and may I congratulate you on your excellent choice of name for your daughter ;) I too have a daughter called Robyn...

What was the reason behind her name? Our Robyn was born in Australia and we wanted her to have a good Aussie name.

I don't suppose you also have a daughter called Sian do you? It would be a funny old coincidence if you did!

Sian was not born in Wales; we just love the name...

No Jim, Our other daughter is Megan, again a good Welsh name!!
But it was a combination of my Aunt Margaret and my wifes middle name Anne.

You will have seen her, although won't have known it. She was in the cabin of the jet in TFTF 6. and in the dance floor scene of Rush and various other TV ads.
On behalf of Robyn, Thank you for completing the survey..she is so happy to be getting such a wide cross section and age range. Currently 20 - 69

I started to fill in the form, answered the first four with 'all the time' but looked on down the list and really couldn't be bothered with the rest as they seemed irrelevant to me, sorry.

I'm 82 by the way.

Thank you Michel😀. Gibbo, thank you for looking
She is looking for all ages, so she says and was expecting more responses from the under 30s but has had mostly over 40 s so far.. so she's got some work to do😁. Thank you all.

Well I've helped move the average upwards!

Some questions were a bit ambiguous for my situation (very recently retired; just coming out of a bad cold which left me feeling eurgh over Christmas) but did my best.

Good luck with the degree.

Done.
Would you like me to post this on some other car forums I frequent? (quite possibly likely to have a younger audience)
On the subject matter... Certainly I spent most of my teenage years and early 20s being unhappy with my body whereas these days, I know I'm gorgeous and have women falling at my feet!*
(body hasn't changed/improved, just my confidence level ;) )

*this may or may not be true...

I note with disappointment that there is no catch-all box for most of us on here that simply says "I am an Adonis with enormous genitalia"..

Shame.
