Xantia interior lights intermittent.

1999 Xantia HDI LX 110 my interior lights dont light up every time, it seems to be getting worse? bulbs good.
BXs since 1993 built 1.9 TZD turbo, got a S2 Xantia estate, brilliant car! 2013, Xantia HDI LX 110 2000 new car with 122,000, l C2 HDI Rusty rocket, C3 Picasso HDI new to me.

They're controlled by the CPH Stewart...

Their wiring runs down under the passenger footwell and this can become very wet due to a failed windscreen scuttle panel seal. There is a big connector that can start swimming down there due to the damp and that sets in corrosion and all sorts of electrical funnies..

Worth a check...

Solved, carpet was nice and dry, bought new bulbs and sprayed holders with contact cleaner, Bingo.
