Sadly, epic fail... It's fiction and as such it just does not work for me at all. Sorry :(

I tried...

I had hoped that (despite it being fiction) there was enough factual information to make it workable. I will not tell you the 'punchline', in case anybody else has not yet read the book.

All fiction has far too much tension and anxiety in it for me to be able to tolerate James...

I know that's the precise point of fiction and what normal people enjoy about it!

..A deposit for the PE Library of the story behind the renumbering of the Class 37 Locomotive built at the English Electric Vulcan Foundry, Newton-le-Willows to 37 558

Fascinating or what :!:

Well it is if you like Locomotives and Aeroplanes and British Engineering!

Just a bit :D What a wonderful thing to do... I love it and it's really made me pleased :)

The old Class 37 'Tractors' have been some really cracking workhorses... One of the classics of diesel traction...

Whilst still doing sterling commercial service they are also greatly loved by the preservationists too...

This is one of the most moving books I've ever read...

It's about a soldier who develops early-onset Alzheimer's in his 30s and cycles around North America to raise funds for the Alzheimer's charity...

Read it if you possibly can... His back-story and how he copes with his terrible diagnosis - effectively a death sentence - is well, amazing...

You will not have dry eyes from beginning to end and at times you will be openly crying - often from laughter but also from the utter tragedy of a life cut down in its prime...

If you only ever read one book make sure it's this one...

This is Chris Graham, the subject of the book, with his bike...

I have personal experience of this terrible disease - it is the worst and most evil disease of all...

May a cure/treatment for it be found without delay.

Appeals to me Neil ;)

My dad ran Cyclemasters for years; I can remember them as a kid...

In fact, when I cleared mum and dad's house in 2005 I found a few small bits that were once on a Cyclemaster...

This gallery includes engines built or bought by the LNER between 1923 and 1948.
