Hello Guys,
So I have a Citroen c 5 2010(3.0 hdi) which has an sd card slot which for some reason doesnt read mp3. The AUX has terrible sound quality. So from what I know the only other way to listen to music, except having 10 CDs in my car, is to use an USB car interface. I bought one for RD4 but it seems it doesnt work. Could someone please tell me what can I use is there any USB interface that I can use for music or new navigation multimedia or something , so I dont have to change CDs like someone from the year 1990?
I will attach a picture of how my dashboard looks .
Cheers,
Chris

Hi and welcome - I have moved this to the Audio / Telematics section (RNEG / MyWay)
So as mentioned, you have the MyWay system. Despite the manual stating otherwise, you are correct, it would seem that very few people (if any) have ever got MP3 to play from the SD card - it looks like it was a feature that never made it somehow!
There is one further option, as this system can read and play an MP3 CD - burn your MP3s to a specifically formatted MP3 CD and you can get anywhere up to 100 to 150 songs - so this may be an option to consider. Then you will only need a couple of CDs in the car.
There are some aftermarket units (like Yatour) that can use the CD changer port to play MP3s - but these have limitations - it can only mimic what a CD changer would do - so the music has to be organised like a 6 CD Changer. Don't expect detailed ID3 track information either - you only get that from the MP3 compatible CD slot in the main unit - hence why I suggested MP3 CDs specifically. It is not ideal - but a compromise.
On my RT3 system, I used to have 5 or 6 MP3 CDs, and had a mixture of music types on each so I didn't have to keep swapping the CDs so often. It worked for me way back then.
Here's an article with more general info:

Re: Multimedia Mp3 issues someone please help me
Ok - I'll try and make it simple if I can.
If you have an audio AUX port in the glovebox (post me your VIN so I can see what kit you have) then this will only play the source - no control over tracks, no track skipping, no music text displayed - only volume control up or down.
As for the Android - you cannot hook anything up to the screen or the unit - it is not compatible. MyWay RNEG does not support AD2P audio streaming or any other interface apart from the Bluetooth phone function.
The RD4 system is completely different to the RNEG.
As I already said in my previous post - the Yatour and ALL similar units like the Xcarlink can only utilise the CD changer port on the back of the unit. So whatever Box you fit, it will only ever be able to mimic the function of a CD-Changer as that is the interface it uses and it is not MP3 capable. If the Box has AUX or SD card or USB - it still has to utilise the CD-Changer interface of the MyWay - so is limited to that function.
Denison is a brand - not a specific unit - so that can mean anything, however the same information applies to whatever unit you choose.

At least Yatour BTA is compatible with both RD4 and RT5 (MyWay) and it works just fine streaming music from my phone to RT5.
BTW, that leather-dash is very nice!

Re: Multimedia Mp3 issues someone please help me
Oh sorry I mixed these up... Previously I thought that RNEG aka MyWay is RT5 and RNEG2 aka eMyWay is RT6. Just figured out a couple of days ago that RT5 isn't MyWay, but I forgot it already. So RNEG (MyWay) and RD4 usb- or bluetooth-boxes should be compatible. At least Yatours version is.

Re: Multimedia Mp3 issues someone please help me
It's very easy to get confused with the marque naming conventions!
Navidrive RT4 and Navidrive RT5 are the same telematic units, except that RT5 has the bluetooth capability. Soon dropped in favour of MyWay (RNEG), then eMyWay or RT6 or RNEG2!
Then Navidrive 3D or NG4 - and all these without the Peugeot names!
