You'd have to register it for business use though. How many radiators do you reckon it could handle ? :rofl2:

Buy it, then we can have a raffle on here to win it. You'd only have to sell 13 tickets at £5 a piece and you'd be in profit
I'd have a ticket. Hell, I might even have two. :)

Brilliant idea :) Make it the FCF Christmas raffle and it could raise funds for the forum ;)

Gabby got a much needed bath this afternoon

Then turned a nice mileage number on the way home

I went into kwikfit at Dyce to have a laugh asking how much an oil and filter change would cost. The guy stamped the registration into the computer and said that will be £54.95 Mr Mason. I said I’m not him (Zel) and I’m not paying that when I have a filter in the boot and 5 litres of oil in the boot that cost less than £20 in total. Ok said the guy and said he is a Citroen man and trying to buy a bx at the moment, and the other kwikfit fitter ther said the xud was the best engine ever he had one in a 306 that did 350k with just routine servicing. Gabby is just nicely run in at 212121 miles then!

That looks great with those wheels Davie, even the paint looks pretty good in the pics apart from the bonnet. How about a matt black bonnet, rally style?

To be fair to Qik fit £54 wasn't a bad price if they actually did it properly and someone human could get the filter off next time!

Yeah, that's a not insane price really. Better than the £250 Manor Oak charged me for the first service on the 107!

Those wheels don't look too bad actually, think being a contrast to the car helps rather than on a silver car.

Paint is (well was when I had her on my driveway anyway) actually generally surprisingly good save for the roof, and bonnet. Couple of bits on the offside front wing and passenger door top where it was peeling a bit.

I am considering a black wrap on the bonnet, and the roof, including the window surrounds on the doors and the c pillars. Then Im usually quite good with rattle cans and might have a go ar both wing tops, the scuffed corner on the front bumper and a little bit on the boot lid, and the welding patch on the door shut. Wont be perfect, but passable for her age. Those wheels look better on the red car rather than the silver I think too. They emphasise the look of her being nose up though. I also went into a garage that calls themselves a citroen specialist today. They said they cant change the ride height. Im sure I have read on this very forum that you can ser the front and rear separately. Id like the rear to be the same as it is just now, but would like the front at least an inch lower. Of course the look is worse with these wheels on, the rear tyres are 215/45x17 and look fine, the fronts are 215/40x17 which is a bit lower rolling radius, emphasising the wheelarch gap. The plan is to have 215/45x17 all round. The steering and roadholding is much improved over the 185/65x15 that were on, but the ride is compromised slightly, but its not much. She will go round the corners on my favourite back road very nearly as fast as the activa did, albeit with more body roll. For me the slight defecit in handling and real world performance of gabby over activa makes Gabby the better car, espically at 42mpg on 60/40 veg/derv compared to 22mpg on petrol!

That has crossed my mind, but if different size tyres are fitted Im sure that legally the bigger ones must be on the back. Of course I could always splash out on two new tyres, the rears are near new, the fronts about 5 mm and one of them has a damaged bit on the sidewall, not through to the cords, but a bit taken out of it with a kerb. Tyre man says its ok though, it is a raised bit that is damaged.

Same size per axle, doesn't matter if front or rears are bigger.

I think that because of one tome having a car in with different size wheels on, I think it was 15" alloys on the back and 14" steels on the front and mot man said thats ok cos the bigger ones are on the back. But then it was completly different, not just one profile size!

I dont think the 5% difference in profile would really matter. But I want to run out the 40 profile anyway, if I put them on the back they will last forever!
