Glutton for punishment! Bought another Citroen...

Unread post by PJLarge »

Following on from the death of my old Volcane, I was unsure what to go for next. I was thinking of a Rover 200 or 400, a 306 but couldn't find anything. Thumbing through the local rag last night there was an ad for a Volcane. I went to see it tonight and have bought it. This one is on an M plate, it's a black 5dr with 84k on it. Generally it's in better condition than the last one, although there were some bits of the old car that were better, but they can easily be sorted. This one seems to pull cleaner and the engine is quieter on the motorway. The new one seems to have its own collection of squeaks and a small rattle over small bumps from the rear somewhere, but it handles better than the old one did.
Still can't believe I've bought another one...
Phil.

No cure mate. I sold a beautiful 2002 Berlingo HDI recently and replaced it with a BX, and I bought a second BX this afternoon. Pass me my pills nurse......

Hehe, if it were a Spanish car forum you might want to use a Seville.

Nah, got away with it, Mrs B could see the sense in buying the TZD for bits. I wanted a tow bar, front spoiler and some other bits and bobs for the TXD so the TZD at £50 was a good buy. So no additions to the spoiler! Boy it is a shed though! Engine smokes, turbo does nothing, 'box crunches in 3rd, knackered front wheel bearing, rear arm bearings goosed, and the front passenger door is falling off. What a car!
Marty

Ahhh - and the light goes on Tom!
I meant Fleetwood as in slightly fishy, tram lines and the Mount.
Dave - will do some time, am there most Thursdays anyway, and if Wyre PCT have their way I may well become a permenant fixture on London St. Come and laugh at my lemon, sorry meant AX (now sans wheel trims thanks to some lowlife in Blackpool!)

Slightly fishy? Last Fleetwood I had was downright bl**dy sinister! And the white Eldorado parked next to it was a damn' sight worse! The local copper looked at it and said "What will you do when you run out of coke to sell?"
Me "Hoover it."
They belonged to a mate who went off to the states for six months, leaving me the two golden keys and instructions to keep them exercised. A gentle workout was all my pocket could stretch to but Boy, I had some fun! The Fleetwood had more "LOOK AT ME" than anything I have ever driven. I saw a man walk into a lamp post while staring at it! No handling, no practicality, no parkability and just a little on the thirsty side. Would I ever have another? Where do I sign!
