When I first got into Diagbox, I recall someone (scary?) releasing a hack that eliminated the prerequisite for a VCI to be connected in order to access functionality. At the time, I was too busy learning basic installation (not that I've advanced much anyway) and regrettably didn't grab the file for later experimentation.

Does anyone have a copy? It's becoming a right royal PITA having to go out to the car & set up a live session just to reference some info I may wish to study at my leisure - preferably on a large screen of a fast internet-connected computer with printer while sitting in a comfortable armchair just a few steps away from the kettle and snack cupboard. 8-)

Not that I know of, he just provided access to the software for the VCi to run on.

AFAIK Lexia Trace reviewing requires a VCI though, yes Diagbox Reports are visible without it.
But the majority of the menus, functions and information are hidden and require a live comms session. It's within these deep vaults that I wish to wander freely.

This thread seems to be massively long could anyone possibly point to the part
where it explains how to get to the DPF read out on the MK2 Citroen C5 please?
I don't seem to be able to find it on the Lexia menu.
I have a suspicion it is on the Injection menu but only because someone told me
there may be a link in the ECU between the injection system and the depollution controls.
Maybe my assumptions are completely wrong but finding the last time the DPF was last generated and how many times it was regenerated
is being rather illusive. I would also like to find out if the additive tank has ever been replenished to.
I always never run the tank down past half full and always refill once a fortnight to a full tank.

so I am hoping that the additive will last a while yet even with the mileage at 91K.

There seems to be a lot of talk around about people replenishing the additive tank at around 90k.

any help finding this information on the lexia screens would be gratefully appreciated

Thank you in advance.

Mike,

I save the screen images whilst the lexia is connected and the wireless on my laptop is turned off.
once the lexia is disconnected and the programme shut down I activate my wireless link on my laptop
and wirelessly print off the saved images of graphs and results and build a file folder of the lexia sessions.
maybe this might help to keep you in the warm and closer to the biccy cupboard.

regards.

Nigel:
  • Run a Global Test
  • When complete, near the top, select the Injection ECU and press confirm
  • On the next menu, there will be a warning about not disconnecting Injectors... press continue
  • In the next Menu, select Standard Parameter Measurements
  • From the next List, select FAP Information
That will show you the parameters.

If fitted, it's also best to check in the DPF ECU as well - as often they disagree about the amount of additive that is left; I would trust the DPF. You may be able to check visually how much is in the tank on a C5, but at 91k if it hasn't been done, then I would be expecting it any time soon.

Yes Nigel, that's exactly what I have to do, it's far from ideal as there's literally thousands of useful pages to read through but only if you're connected to the specific vehicle.
Trying to read a slow netbook with 2/3 screen and failing eyesight in bright daylight, while sitting sideways contorting to see said screen really grates on my vertebrae.
Case in point, before helping someone with their X7, I would have preferred to have done my homework first and studied it's relevant flowchart documents on the problem they were experiencing.

Those aren't battery testing wires - they are to convert OBD II to 2-pin clip for pre-OBD I Peugeot Citroen vehicles. If you want to test your battery get something like this:

Silly me, lol.

Ok another question though:

When i get into my EGS gearbox diagbox settings, i can see some interesting statistics, like - how many times each gear was engaged during the lifetime of the car and so on.
One of the parameters says something along the line of: number of gear changes from 1st to 2nd in performance mode
Same goes for 2 to 3rd.
Both counters are at 0.

However, this implies there is some kind of performance mode, so my question is - how do i activate this performance mode?

Don’t change anything there unless you want a massive bill for recalibration!

The system when driven on piloted auto mode may detect when you ‘floor’ the accelerator and probably records these types of changes. This system records the number of changes and after so many I think it stops working or says it’s time to get your wallet out!
