Post by renagade »

Well Guy's
I am writing this to you all from my hotel room in Andorra while we wait to go down for dinner. well the car is drinking diesel as if it is going out of fashion most of my speed's have been 100 plus . Dare I say the gear box is running just fine. I am disappointed that we have not seen an old DS yet. There goes the gong for dinner. Let you all know how we going as we make our way back home on Saturday. Ho we will not be doing Spain this time has my 2 grand spending money is nearly all gone,

I love Andorra; I first went there with my parents some fifty years ago. We went up into the mountains by cable car and while we were up there a storm started brewing. We cut the trip short and went back down while all around us the static electricity was crackling from tree to tree. Exciting! I hope that you can spend some time there.

When I visited 33 years ago on my honeymoon I noticed, after some careful map inspection, that there was a village in Spain that could only be accessed via Andorra so, of course, had to go there just because we could. When we went back seven years ago we went to the same village which by now had developed somewhat and had proper tarmac instead of dust roads. In addition I have a feeling that there is at least one small track giving access directly from Spain.

If you're interested the village is called Os de Civis. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@42.50774 ... 547,15.62z

I also love Andorra, haven't been for a long time but fully intend to return. Have a great time, it shouldn't be difficult to over there. Prices must have gone up, I couldn't have spent £2k over there if I tried.

We stayed overnight in Limoges last year. We found time the next morning to go to the memorial at Oradour sur Glane. If you have time and if you have the inclination it's worth a visit although we found we had had enough after an hour or so.

Hi Guy's
Well that two weeks went very quickly. The C5 X7 went very well, she never missed a beat. I covered 3200 miles and according to the readout on the dashboard this was done at 59mpg, which I don't think is bad .Anyway's I now need to hoover the car and wash it. I still did not see one DS, plenty of c5 x7 and Exantia's and one Ami. All in all a very good trip.
