According to my girlfriend at the time, he used to live in the street near hers when he was a student (live in a flat, not on the street :( )
That was in Borås, of course.

^^ One for the Danish FCF Members Steve? :-D

Unsurprisingly never come across them/her

I am sure Denmark has made more of a musical contribution to the world than Aqua and Barbie Girl...even if it was the most commercially successful!

I was aware of them in the UK in the sixties but became a fan while in Sweden.
A very ethical group, some of them now children of Anisette (the singer) and the late Thomas Koppel.
Anisette is an Inuit (and therefore a Danish citizen) and formed The Savage Rose along with Anders & Thomas Koppel.

This was their masterpiece:

Nearly as scratchy as my 1972 vintage LP.

P.E. Jukebox-Monopoly Theme?

Post by NewcastleFalcon »

So from POTD we had a clock, and the clockmaker had a rather nice shop, and the shop was on....

The Strand...............one of the Reds on the traditional Monopoly board

So the PE Jukebox goes for Roxy Music...Do the Strand

Any other tracks come to mind which can be fitted onto the Monopoly theme? Suggestions welcome :-D

Can be in the lyrics not just the song title or artist name...and appropriate for today perhaps this selection from Tom Petty which goes
Watched the sun go down behind London Town
I was burnt, stood up in Mayfair
I caught a train, black car through the rain
From the trust that hung betrayed there
From this

PS I am just letting Roxy Music autoplay play on from Do the Strand...moving into stuff I have never heard before but enjoying it!

It is a brilliant LP, the second Roxy one I bought but have to say "Do The Strand" is my skip-over track.
Favourite is If There Is Something - mainly for the sax and in this clip the saxophonist :)

Temporary diversion from the monopoly theme, autoplaying on Mark Knopfler now and came across this, which if you like a musician totally relaxed playing and talking about his music, and interacting with an intimate audience...it's great.

Never really seen Mark so at ease....great stuff! Watching the whole lot from start to finish.
