I saw a 67 plate a week back, on the back of a transporter. I cannot remember what the vehicle was that was wearing the plate though.

Another rural Nissan Leaf owner, i would say there's now 20-30 in this bit of England's last wilderness. This one is the most far flung so far though...literally 40 miles from civilisation.

As I surveyed the black sooty patch on the front exhaust pipe flexible bit on my own car, and detected the aroma of the "leak" yesterday, I thought next car I get I would like it to be electric.

This might fit the bill Neil ;)

This was at the Haynes Motor Museum Rare Breeds Show on Sunday and is a 3/4 (ish) scale model, fully electric and with bike disc brakes!

Well I am working my way up from one of these

to maybe an electric bike...and then

would hope to aspire to something just a touch better looking than that offering at the Haynes museum Jim!

I'm cogitating over an electric bike Neil...

I'm almost tempted by one of these, the GTech e-bike

But what I'd really like is the Giant Road E Plus

But like electric cars, they're jolly expensive at the moment...

As long as you dont click on too many "optional extras" over a couple of years you could easily write off the purchase price with saved bus fares! and no doubt there will be some scheme to avoid shelling out up front cycle to work or some such thing. Get a trailer or a large wicker basket for the shopping.

Its amazing what you can tow even with a normal push bike never mind one with electric assistance.

Saw a 67 plate E-car today. A white Leaf inevitably!

Jim - my mate's built an e-bike. I had a quick ride on it, very strange! Initially there is no assistance then once the comp detects rotation and pedalling the motor cuts in and gives assistance. I only rode it a short distance, but it gives a lot of help. He reckons you can still have a good work out, but it happens at 20+mph (his is not configured to cut out at 15mph as they're, ahem, supposed to be!) rather than 10-15mph.

That makes it a quick bike Van :) Yes, regulations state 15mph otherwise it's in danger of being classified as a moped rather than a pushbike.

I have yet to ride one... I must try to rectify that soon - perhaps a chat with my local bike shop will do the trick...

Well done with the colours Nissan!

Slightly disappointed it still has a steering wheel. Hiro the DJ's 2020 Leaf doesn't
