Temp sensor
Ok after doing some delving I find I need to replace the temp sensor which sends the signal to the dash.
I have a 2002 C3 LX
Anyone have the part number for this sensor and more importantly is there a picture showing exactly where it is for this model?
Cheers

Re: Temp sensor
It could be useful to post your ViN here. That way, those with access to the Citroen Service site can look up your vehicle and get you the correct part details (as there could be several possible options).

Re: Temp sensor
I always buy things like CTS from a dealer, the spurious ones aren't much cheaper with varying quality

Your VIN is on the bottom of the windscreen (outside passenger side). Pop it up and I'll have a look.

Re: Temp sensor
Bill - you are are 1 digit short of a VIN (
) - it should be a 17 Alpha Numeric sequence.

Re: Temp sensor
I think I have located it - but there was a 2-way sensor introduced to replace the 3-way one on the TU3JP engine from a certain date, so I will need your VIN to determine the correct part number from your RPO.

Re: Temp sensor
Bill, that VIN is still not being accepted.
Just PM me the Registration number and I'll be able to find it for you.

Re: Temp sensor
Hi Bill, really sorry, but the tool I use to get the VIN from the Reg has been patched, so I cannot use this to get your VIn now. I will need you to double check the VIN carefully from the window or even take a pic and upload it for me.

Re: Temp sensor
Hallelujah - we're back in business!
Ok, so you need the blue water temperature sensor (12x150-65 3-Way), not the green one. The part number is: 1338 A6, it is currently £43.09 inc. VAT from Citroen. (part 5 in the diagram I listed previously).
