Micellar wipes

Post by MikeT »

Got a used car? Then don't buy micellar wipes (2 packs for £1 from poundland) and use them on your steering wheel (or any other oft-used car controls) if you've a delicate constitution.

They are very effective dirt-removers.
I use them as a screen cleaner and it cuts through better than more expensive bespoke products I've bought.

So, what's the problem then Mike?

Looks to me as if they do a good job but I assume they are bad on your skin perhaps?

Really? There's one on every street corner here - all full of deceivingly small-sized tat to fool people into thinking they've bought a bargain. Sick of the site of them  Drop the extortionate rents and maybe we'll get some more decent individual shops back in the towns. :mecker: Rant over.

Im very isolated here. If you look at a map of north east scotland, and see the A96 running northwest then west from Aberdeen to Inverness via Elgin anything north of this road is totally forgotten area. No shops, no investment, no jobs, nothing. Every town and village is full of boarded up shops, closed pubs, poor housing, poor roads, but yet a great natural beauty about it. Where do I live? Right in the worst bit. To get any real shops at all, even a decent supermarket, its Aberdeen, 42 miles south, or elgin, 35 miles west. I shouls really have moved from this area many yeasr ago, as did my brothers and sister. The one saving grace is its peaceful. Never need to lock the car, house door only locked if im out or in bed, very little crime etc.

There's a lot to be said for that Davie, along with the natural beauty...

Be lovely if you had a few decent facilities near you though... Things would be perfect then...

Sad how it's all going downhill. So much potential and so little will on the part of the authorities to realise it :(

It could so easily be paradise...

Yes and no Jim. They did such a good job the resulting transfer of grime from just the first wipe almost made me retch.
They are sold as make-up removers/face cleansers that don't dehydrate the skin.

Google micellar water if interested. (spelling corrected)

Its turned into a 100poundland though! Very few locals use it, its getting very expensive and gone upmarket. Bargainland is better, run by the son of the original spotty bag shop owner!
