406 clutch stiff

Hi
As above 1.9LXS TD estate. Clutch seems very heavy compared to other peugeots and citroens with the same engine that I've drivn in the past.
Is there anything that I should concentrate on when I investigate?

Just fitted a new cable to mine - made a hell of a difference to the clutch weight....

its the cable that causes it
change the cable and you should see a difference
but eventually it will do hard again
