Not electric but an SLK with headlights that looked like yellow ground glass.

Re: Electric Vehicles: What have you spotted?
One of the big ones for this thread I think is who will be the first to spot a Tesla Model 3 in the wild.
I get what folks have been saying about the sometimes patchy finish on some of the existing models. It seems that some cars are closer to perfect, and it's really luck of the draw.
I have a decent amount of patience though, bearing in mind that it's still early days for them.
Have been in one once and while I wasn't specifically looking for issues like that, I certainly wasn't aware of any problems and found the cabin to be a very nice place to be. Reminded me in some ways of my old Renault 25 actually.
Model S is still currently the first car I'd be diving out to grab in the event of a lottery win for me.

Re: Electric Vehicles: What have you spotted?
The reply I made to the clasics thread is equally relevant here....
Don't expect the Tesla Model 3 to stand out when looking for an "in the wild" spot. It will be camoflaging itself well amongst the greys/silvers/whites/blacks/dull dark blues and reds of other car makers. You may spot one of the bolder model 3's in a bright red but this will be a rarity.
So the best spotters guide we have at the moment is this:-
Elektrek-Model 3 Production Colours
Take it with you should you be over in the USA at any point in time, it could be a while before one reaches these shores.

Re: Electric Vehicles: What have you spotted?
Saw what must have been a gun metallic Leaf today at Cramlington, not your most widespread of colours smart but pretty anonymous in the colour department. I think I am warming to the little bit of "oddness" of the Leaf shape at least they are easy to spot without having 20/20 vison to decipher the badging on other offerings.
Of course if they also carried trade mark colours, as opposed to sensible boring automotive makers conservative greys/silvers/whites/blacks etc the EV would stand out more. The sort of electric blue badging is subtle rather than in your face, and I think the new Zoe EV has dropped this in any case.
For new Zoe spotters, and happy to be corrected if I am wrong, but I don't think anyone has claimed a spot of the new Zoe yet, here is the distinguishing featurs which "brand" it as an EV...

Tesla Model X P90D spotted heading up the M1 this evening. Being tailgated by a BMW X5 - which was in turn being tailgated by an Audi Q7. Go figure...

I remember a certain old nameless Solihull V8 which used to leave such idiots wondering.
