Tomorrow I will try to go with USB (songs in *.mp3 on pendrive). Do you believe that I can connect iPhone by lightning-USB into the car? It will work (play songs)? I tried a lot of settings... Loudness on/off, automatic volume, playback profiles, bass, trebles but nothing really helps.

Is tehere any way to configure bluetooth profiles/setting etc. by Lexia or Diagbox?
Best Regards!

No and no.
You can only play MP3 and I think WMA files from the USB device. You cannot play them from the phone itself. - However, the Bluetooth specs for the the 2011 on model show USB connectivity to an iPod via the USB connection.

There are no Bluetooth configuration options in Lexia/ Diagbox. I would advise caution when you get your kit, be very careful not to change things without knowing what you are doing, or you could affect the operation of the car.

Thank you for the information. I am aware that there is a risk of affecting car operation. I am just focus to get this bluetooth properly working. I saw a lot of information on this forum about configuring some options (like tuner active/passive mode) to get most of this car :) and of course to get it carefully.

That's ok, just remember to take a screen print before changing anything and you'll be fine 😉

Sure. That's good advice, thank you. I read on the internet that during the radio replacement it is good to "uninstall RD4" by Lexia and "install" RD45 to give BSI proper data. Do you have any information about that?

I have tried this before, but after my RD45 was already installed, Diagbox would not allow me to either uninstall RD4 or install RD45 for some reason..... but everything seems to work OK so I didn't worry too much.

I just find out that during pairing process I see that my radio is discovered as "handsfree" and after short time it is "BT_Radio". Did you notice that in your cars? It is related to Telephone option and streaming option? Maybe this is somehow interfering my sound quality by bluetooth?

In case you are interested, have a look at my other thread on Bluetooth compatibility - there is a lookup tool you can use to see what systems / phones support which features:

Thanks. I had taken a look at the website before I wrote here but there was no answer for my questions :) Today, I have connected the pendrive with the songs to USB and checked playback quality - it was amazing in comparison to the bluetooth streaming. It means that investigation is still ongoing. What else I found that after radio replacement my AUX stopped working (I have this chinch socket in passengers compartment) but there is an option called "AUX 1" on the display.

Your AUX 1 has stopped working due to the different pinout of the RD45 to the RD4 of the rear connector. This has happened to me too, I haven't changed the terminals over in the connector yet. but it is a simple task. If you look back in this thread you'll see the pinout of the RD45 and the terminals you need to change.

I'm glad you are satisfied with the USB playback, the issue seems to be Bluetooth. It's strange, my bluetooth seems just as good as USB :?

Guys, I have another question in this topic. What is a maximum compatible pendrive capacity (in FAT32 file system) which can be recognized by the RD45? What is interesting, today I connected my iPhone 5S (iOS 10.3.2) by the Lightning-USB into the car and there was a iPod icon displayed on the screen for a 5 seconds but after that time I've got the message "USB peripheral error". I believe that there is an option to connect the iPhone/iPod by USB :)

I read somewhere that 32 GB is the practical limit for FAT32... so thats what I have. MP3 files are encoded at 320 kbps and 44.1KHz

I use a 32 Gb SDHC on the NG4 but I haven't tried a 64Gb card as yet. I'll try this tomorrow with the 64Gb and report back.

There is no IPod control. You can play the music files via the USB though. I believe e in both cases though, that the limitation is more to do with the number of files / folders. There is a max, and I'll try to find out the limits.

Just another thing with the USB, I find the RD45 behaviour odd.

90% of the time when I start my car it spends over a minute indexing all the files on the USB... this is quite annoying. Sometimes it doesn’t though.
After the indexing, it sometimes continues playing the last song at the correct position or more likely is starts playing from track 1 of album 1
Bit of a pain really, so I listen to the FM radio for a few mins until the indexing is complete.

Is the radio missing a permanent live or something to store the index of tracks?

There's no hard disc in those units, so probably has to do it on the fly. On my SD card it plays where it left off, unless the SD card has been ejected, then it plays from the beginning one reinserted.
