They always put chevrons pointing to it and a sign.

After my less than flattering comments in 2015 (about CCC events generally, really) I actually quite enjoyed last year's (even if it did feel a bit like a village fete compared with what I've been used to) - the difference? I didn't know anyone in 2015 - & fully intended to return this year BUT it's the first weekend of my biennial trip down Route 66. Been a really bad year for events clashing!

541 miles, 9 hours 17 minutes from me according to google maps, the week after ive done the NC500. Dont know if im ok for that much driving. Suppose I could easyjet it to Luton and hire a car. Probably be cheaper than driving!

£65 return easyjet friday afternoon to monday lunchtime, car hire, ok a poxhall coarse or similar £22.38 from flight to flight. Fuel for bigpug would be over £150. I would have b&b anyway. I can see a plan formulating here :)

I promise I will hide a poxhall hire car around the corner :rofl2:

If it makes the difference between going - or not, then I suppose it's a thought BUT, it seems to defeat the object somehow.

Bit like me taking Eurostar to Antwerp & getting the tram out to Expo, rather than taking the Caddy to "American Stars on Wheels" or going to the World Meeting in Portugal, other than in the 2CV. In fact, one of the reasons for getting the C15 was so that I could still go to ICCCR's, while the 2CV was off the road BUT, that's me! - & I'm not like everybody else (thank you Ray Davies).

After a little thought I will not be putting my above plan i to operation. Too much for me to spend being so soon after my nc500 jaunt. Counting up all the b&b that I would need makes it unaffordable for me.

How much is Easyjet to Gatwick?
I could pick you up, you stay at mine & we go to show in XM or C4VTS the next day. If you fancy it, I'll run it past SWMBO.

Thats such a nice offer and thank you for it. However I am not sure how comfortable I would be accepting it.
