Hi there, have you had a look on the Citroen Service website?
http://service.citroen.com You have to register... oh and change the website language to english.

MikeT great that is just what I wanted. So as I understand it then my car does not have the conventional starter that my 2lt hdi had.

Reading the article it appears that there is a conventional starter motor as well. This is used when the engine is cold and also when the ambient temperature is outside of the operating parameters.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

I would be very careful touching anything here - you need a special tool to discharge the thing before doing any work on it. It is behind the front wheel:
