406 GLX 1998 2L 16v. Engine stone cold, both fans run as soon as engine is started [:0], although only on first speed setting - is this normal, I think they kick up to high speed when engine gets hot. Running temp stays around the 70 degree mark in normal conditions.
Any advice would be super smashing great [^]!

Hi
First things first, Is the climate control switched on? The fans will run if it is.
Check the brown temp sensor connector plug next to the thermostat.
Also check for any blown fuses in the fusebox inside the car.
If the connection is dirty or the sensor is faulty or the fuse blows the fans will run all the time as a safety precaution.
