Help please. I have Citroen XSARA Picasso 2008 1.6 16v. When accelerating I get shuddering and if I don't change gear engine fail light comes on. I can restart / jump the engine immediately and engine light goes off again.
Am told the MAF needs cleaning, but cannot find to clean. Pictures would be great
I have the spray already...
Just need help. (Ive tried searching the forum and cannot find the answers)

Re: MAF cleaning??
Hi and welcome. Post up or PM your VIN as we don't know what engine you have, then I'll put you up a diagram specific to your Picasso. The 'Shuddering' may not be the MAF and if removing this, DON'T touch, poke or prod the very fine wire inside the housing.

Re: MAF cleaning??
Ok, now we have established that it's a 1.6i Petrol engine (TU5JP4). So it doesn't have a Mass Air Flow Sensor like the Diesels do.
So you might want to get a diagnostic done, but common issues with these engines can be the coil packs, or a dodgy temperature sensor, which can cause mis-fueling (much like a choke). Below is a diagram of where the more common sensors are located in case you need to check these out, but getting it diagnosed with a Lexia will help with the troubleshooting.
(5) - Engine Pinking Sensor
(6) - Speed Sensor
(8) - Air Intake Pressure Sensor
(9) - Water Temperature Sensor
