Hi, Does any one know whats up with my car, When i start it from cold it gives off smoke and sounds like its running uneven?
Been told maybe something with the fuel system can do that?

Could be air in the fuel system. If you squeeze the hand pump a couple of times then attempt starting does this make any difference?
Also have the glow plugs been renewed recently?

It may need a new set of glow plugs, most people dont know they have burned out and not working until a good frost! GSF £6.50 each for the TD or £7.50 for HDi.

yes my hand pump does feel soft, how do get rid of the air in the system? how does it get there? changed the glow plugs already and reset all the value sims

If there is air in the system then the flexible pipes that run between the injectors are a good place to start. They can become perforated and allow air in.
Sometimes it can be the hand pump itself.
