Missed those selections, just the type of creativity the Pickled Egg thrives on!

Now where did "Luton Airport" spring from? Part of your collection? It all comes flooding back...great stuff!

Autoplaying on from that up comes this which I haven't heard for ages, there must have been something in the water in 1979! Mark III Cortina starring role, together with the brummie accent!

I've been driving in my car
It's not quite a Jaguar
I bought it in Primrose Hill
From a bloke from Brazil
It was made in fifty-nine
In a factory by the Tyne

Last line bit of poetic licence I think! unless it was a Tank!

In the "performance for Top of the Pops he changed the "Granada Ghia" reference to "Mini Cab"

K Strawbs-Starting Over (Swift is the kestrel's flight, Straight to the heart..) Riley Kestrel being the car link

Time to give progressive music a chance! There is a nice soothing passage to this too. Strawbs were much more than "You don't get me I'm part of the Union" but in my opinion that was good too.

And this particular Riley Kestrel..gorgeous like a Traction Avant with a nicer back end!

Jumping the gun a bit and a tenuous connection at best but it is automotive.

Polly Harvey - M-Bike.

And one I had forgotten - Driving.

I don't know why but I still chuckle at the title of that contribution from the Andrews Sisters :-D I am pleased I came across that, and Strawbs surprising and good stuff. Anyway nearing closing time so time to give "L" a bit of a ponder......
