V6 HDI Engines, how reliable are they later on?
Tempted to get a V6 HDI for my next C5, leaning towards the 3.0 instead of the 2.7 version. What are these engines like in the higher milage area for reliability like 100,000 to 200,000 miles? Just had the turbo go on my 2.2 (173bhp) C5 at 173,000 miles but apart from that its been extremely reliable in my 7 years of owning it.

There's plenty of them about in other manufacturers cars, and I've not heard of any nasties with them yet.

Check the land rover forums. You might get some information there. I have never seen them over here in anything but land rover. A lot of them get worked hard with a lot of heavy towing.
