Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
I have had another go connecting lexia and the fault codes are:
The U1116 codes would seem to make sense for the problem i have and the system needs reconfiguring but when i have selected that option it needs me to login into the citroen server to carry it out. I'm not sure if lexia is setup properly as the website info says that you can carry out nearly all the functions that a dealer does and carry out programming functions and adaption which is why i bought it.
Thanks again
Thanks again

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
I think you can ignore 2005 at present. The rest all indicate lack of data from the suspension ECU - probably as a result of lack of coherent data from the height corrector sensors.
At this point I really don't know what to suggest as these systems are very finely calibrated and integrated. There are some procedures like ECU downloading that only the dealership can do, requiring a technician ID and account (which is recorded in the BSI for traceability). If you can't access the relevant menu from within the BHI section of the Global Test, (only the 6 Cylinder C5 X7s have the CSS Suspension ECU) - 4 Cylinder X7s have this built into the BHI (Suspension Ecotech or similar) - then I think you are going to have to bite the bullet and get it flat-bedded to Citroen to sort out.
While there are lots of tests, diagnostics and procedures you can do, there are some you can't and these are the ones that will lock you out. With hindsight, easy to say, I know, but if we had known you were planning on removing these height sensors, yet alone swapping them, I would of advised against it. Not much help at this point I know Andy.

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
Thanks Marc, going to have to be citroen then
Is there any way i can get the suspension to drop manually as it's going to be awkward getting it off the drive?

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
Please do come back and let us know the outcome Andy. I think anything else at this point would be guessing, as it could be the BHI itself, the CAN network not communicating or as we suspect the height sensors and ECU recalibrating from scratch on the 4 post lift. I hope it isn't too drastic for you

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
My diagbox (v7.65) is playing up and suspect it'll need a re-install. The problems I've encountered began recently when I tried recording personalised parameters. It seemed to hang after I stopped the recording. After this, the diagbox app would not close, it had to be force-closed.
After these events, I tried reviewing the recorded data (for the first time) but it tells me "graphical functionality not available" so I think it's best to do a fresh install.
Does anyone have step-by-step instructions for restoring full diagbox functionality, it's been some time since, I've forgotten how and not even sure I can find all the software and updates I have?

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
Before considering a reinstall - which can be a dogs breakfast to do, do you have enough disk storage space on your laptop? The programme normally saves files to: C:\APP\OUTILREP\TRACE\MEMO\saves
If it is running short on space that may course a problem. Also, can you confirm you're not running any antivirus software like Norton - that programme is notorious for hogging resources. What sort of spare disk capacity do you have left and how much memory / what system are you running it on etc.?
Here's a link to the installation video:

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
Yes, all I can recall from the install was how much a minefield it was hence the plea for help here. I've also got Sedre and Docbackup on the same netbook too so don't know if that needs to be taken into consideration too.
The netbook is an Acer Aspire Intel Atom 1.6Ghz 2GB ram running Win 7 Utlimate 250GB HD with 110GB free with MalwareBytes anitmalware and Microsoft Security Essentials only.
Looking in the directory you stated, there are no saved parameter files except (presumably) a standard txt file (Vide.txt) with a line of text in french, dated 2001.
Meanwhile, I've located the original install files/ISO's, updates and related files (courtesy of scarymistake).

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
Mike, yes SEDRE and DocBackup will certainly make a difference and generally should be installed before Diagbox due to the conflicting running services when installing Diagbox. But if you are leaving the former 2 programmes installed, you should be fine - but if reinstalling SEDRE and DOCBACKUP programmes with Diagbox already installed, then kill PSAAGENT.EXE using CTRL ALT DEL beforehand.
Re Spec. - I would say you are extremely borderline here - this system is not designed for any intensive applications. The performance is only comparable to a 1.2 GHz clocked Celeron M and is only a single core processor (although the OS is fooled into thinking it is a dual core system). Can't cope with anything intensive and is really just for non-demanding jobs like web browsing and word processing. Diagbox and SEDRE plus DocBackup will put a huge strain on the system and I wouldn't be surprised if it gives out to be honest. Expect delays and lack of response - a sign that the system is running short of resources. With only 2Gb RAM to boot, the OS is going to be eating a lot of that and I suspect that some of the memory will also be shared for graphics.

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
Cheers Marc. I have no issues with Sedre or Docbackup, happy to leave it installed, and yes I realise the hardware is borderline but that's all I've got to work with for now and it lasts a hell of a long time on the battery for which I'm extremely grateful. If it means a re-install every five years or so, I think I can live with that... unless I win the lottery

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
No worries - just so you know. You might want to disable the daily scan feature of Windows Security Essentials as that can slow things up too especially when resources are low. It will still provide active protection, bur constand drive scanning is a bit overkill TBH. Any issues, give me a shout. Just remember when you are reinstalling Diagbox to completely remove it first, then restart, then use the Diagbox Cleaner that will remove and delete all the relevant Diagbox registry files and folders on the hard drive so you are starting from a clean installation. If you need a copy of the DB Cleaner email me.
When you get everything back up and running, and Diagbox is activated at 7.02, take a backup of the licence file and keep it safe. Then do your preferred upgrades. Then create a Windows System Restore point and name it something like 'DB Fresh Install'. Then in future, if things go toes up, and assuming you haven't got any other programmes installed since Diagbox (any documents and files created will be ok), you can always revert the system to your install date which should save you having to reinstall it again.
Also, one last thing, when you install Diagbox, make sure your network card (wifi) is enabled and active as it uses your active hardware for your licence key. Do your upgrades with the card enabled, then you can always disable it afterwards if needed.

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
Good tip re WSE scan, I'll disable it as you advise and I'll take a copy of Diagbox cleaner off you for sure, Marc.
As for the wifi, that's always bothered me in case it might try to phone home while installing, spoiling the task but the firewall usually steps in to ask permission first.

The wifi wont connect up during install - just ensure you choose manual activation and never let it automatically update. Once you have all your updates done you can disable it.

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
I ran the DB cleaner though apart from telling me "Diagbox found. Uninstalling..." I got no further notifications of it uninstalling or finishing, let alone it being successful. How long should I wait before trying the CLEAN option?

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
Uninstall first using control panel in Windows Once it has run, then run the Dig of cleaner and check there are no dialogue boxes running in the background or hidden by other windows. If all ok, restart the notebook and when it has loaded back up run DB cleaner again just to make sure all running services previously are now removed. That should be that Mike.

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
An hour later, nothing's changed and if I click the DB cleaner tray icon, it has a tick next to "Script Paused" and I can't untick it.
