(done last week)
One way of removing a hub bearing that has "squashed" the stub axle and refuses to seat correctly (and thus come off without breaking a puller arm.)

I left the car (V6 Activa) ticking over for a few mins yesterday, it was not "hunting" and was running quite normally......then it stopped.
I restarted it and it ticked over fine again but after 4-5 mins it stopped again.

What could this be ?

 Sorry Alasdair, I do apologise....

Seriously, I've known V6s do just this quite frequently in my experience and it's often when they're between hot and cold on a slightly chilly day... It's like the ECU is not quite sure of the fuelling given the air temperature and coolant temperature...

If it's running fine under way then I'd not worry...

The grey V6 I bought off Chris, who bought it off you used to do this if left ticking over.

Out for a drive to see a client today, about 80miles return. Sat in some traffic at some road works, it did not miss a beat....so goodness knows what was happening..
