c5 cabin heating

i have a c5 2004 est hdi and the heating is only getting hot on the passenger side despite both on max and turned on any help or ideas would be appreciated

The most common cause is that the flap control motor is no longer moving the flap. This is because the earlier motors had a short splines stem (so it does not fully engage), and over time the teeth at the end wear out. The later motors have a longer stem, which resolves that problem.

That was the good news. The bad news is that it can be a dashboard out job to replace said motors. I cannot say how easy this is, or how long it takes, as I have not had to do it myself on my C5.
