Looks like many versions of it as served in various establishments is just as it came out of the mine
I have my own personal curry mine Makes some very special ones too...

Well I think you might be wrong about it going to Birmingham. Brum is the Balti capital, it was invented there, Tikka is for softies.
Man is, by nature, a lazy beast, he does not need twice encouraging to do nothing.

Re: Picture(s) of the day..
I did consider photographing one of the Balti mines whilst we were in the area, but the atmosphere was so corrosive in there that I thought it best to leave my camera in its case
Sadly no longer a C5 owner

Well advised! Its nature can be seen in the dishes in which it is served - crucibles are a better description...bobins wrote:I did consider photographing one of the Balti mines whilst we were in the area, but the atmosphere was so corrosive in there that I thought it best to leave my camera in its case

One of the reasons Trolley Buses were phased out can be seen here
The wires and associated equipment both needed re-investing in, and were regarded as a bit of an eyesore

I'd rather an eyesore like that than clouds of diesel particulates any day Neil
Modern overhead catenary systems are not obtrusive at all. Take the Nottingham tram system - you hardly notice them...

Re: Picture(s) of the day..
Very nice gallery of old buses in action mainly from 60's and 70's if you click on "Auto". Love the liveries and the nostalgic vehicles in the pics, and occasionally a shot of an old concrete road...in my GT6 days it used to fairly rattle and bump over those down South Shields way!

Love the Lake District and Derwentwater/Catbells in particular, but I haven't come across this nice bit of subtle sculpture on the lakeside before will have to search it out
