Strangely soothing and relaxing Steve, and I enjoyed Ken's old album sleeves!

That jukebox does not work for me at all... I much prefer the "nostalgic mechanical whirring and scratching" of the proper Wurlitzer - far more character!

Heaven forbid the PE getting rid of theirs... If they do then I shall cease to be a patron

This may exceed the ten minute stipulation by a few minutes.
Dragged it out of hiding this morning while doing housework, vinyl, bought in the late sixties/early seventies.

Symphony For Group And Orchestra.

Jon Lord went on to write the very well received "Durham Concerto"

Never realised Jon Lord had done so much, and such variety of music, and I was a fan of the mainstream Deep Purple stuff as well. The Durham Concerto has a wonderful quality about it, never heard it before, but know Kathryn Tickells work on the Northumbrian pipes well. Another gem from you Steve....thanks

A few years back now but I used to see Kathryn Tickell knocking around Newcastle in the old Volvo 240 :)

To keep the entertainment flowing in the event of a power cut which renders the Wurlitzer out of action, the Landlord has just acquired one of these. Feel free to put your name down as a volunteer handle turner, or music feeder.

....while the manual one is a useful standby, maybe something more ornate with a greater stock of tunes, may draw in some travellling punters as well as the locals and make the PE a real "Destination" Pub experience....

Storage for the "tracks" could take up a bit of extra room, but it could be worth it!

Been aware of her for some time but she hadn't really 'clicked' until I watched/listened for four hours last night.

Not to be confused with the original Shaw Taylor...Keep 'em peeled!

This particular episode of "Police 5" includes a little French car used as a getaway by the villans. Peugeot aficionardos will be able to precisely identify it!

Just bought four of JST's albums :)

ETA:
All autoripped and currently playing on the Amazon Cloud Server :)
BUT - I'm missing watching on YouTube - which I sould have known.
Bought seven albums recently and still mostly watch on YouTube, although I did spend a couple of days listening to Jackie Evancho's "Two Hearts" album (sumptuous)!
And a decent session watching the DVD of the Samantha Fish "Girls With Guitars" DVD.

A track from Two Hearts:

They accuse her of lipsynching, which is a crying shame, she is so good she has no need of any assistance whatsoever.

17th birthday tomorrow! :)

Heard this today while having coffee and cake. Beautiful spring afternoon, looking down towards the Northumberland Coast. Just a wonderful voice, and a wonderful song, and its by no means alone in that category from Eva Cassidy (Songbird, Over the Rainbow, Tears in Heaven such emotion)
