Thanks Gibbo I remember doing a bit of detective work on Google Street view to locate it!

Seeing as we have moved onto a new page I'll post the link up to the gallery again. Click on the side and you can filter by Country/County and many other tags.

For you lets see what comes up for Gloucestershire...

Like the pic of St Mawes in Cornwall from the article.

Any ideas for the Somerset pair of pumps I posted up?

I know exactly what you mean Alasdair... I spent years doing the same... No longer so I guess I've found mine now too :D

Neil, I'll look out for those Somerset pumps when I take part in the Tour of Wessex at the end of May...

The school shown in the webpage above is my old school and is the start and finish point of the tour... It's going to be a cracker of a ride and it'll take me quite close to your place too Alasdair :D

Well if you stop off at the "Muddled Man" for a half pint, or a skinny latte if you must, the pumps will not be far away!

:rofl2: Yes, we just love your part of the world and be grateful for all the income we bring in... We cyclists eat and drink a lot and keep a multitude of small cafés and related industries in business... Without us you'd all be broke and begging in the streets...

If you really wanted to you could keep us away if you flattened out all the lumpy bits ;)

Au Revoir Old Petrol Pump Day!

Post by NewcastleFalcon »

Just to clear up the loose ends...

The Muddled Man and the pumps are in West Chinnock, and the threee bridges are in Wales at Devil's Bridge, within 100 yards of one of the remaining AA Boxes.

...and so Old Petrol Pumps day has drawn to a close, and the title goes back to normal.....

My dad had an HA Viva... He loved it and then bought an HB...

The HB Viva is still a looker even now... Shame the mechanicals were so awful...

It all went horribly wrong with the HC :(

I like to delve into a bit of background and there is plenty of information on the former Hooton Park Airfield where Vauxhall built their "Ellesmere Port" car factory in the earlt 1960's
