Spotted on Friday (forgot until just now) in between MK and Bicester, a very scruffy but apparently rust free at a glance 405 GRD Estate. Looked to still be earning it's keep.

If you go from S2 to an Activa/2.1/V6 S1 front end the wings should be the same. I had to fit 'wide arch' front wings (and arch liners) when I converted my 1.9 TD S1 front end to a 2.1 TD S1 front end.

Walking to the bus stop this morning, a little later than usual, I was passed by Renault 4 in what, at a glance was, excellent original condition. Now there may be a connection with the nicely turned out, signwritten 4 van belonging to a (presumably) local specialist that used to pass my house, going the other way, about the same time each evening.

About 10 minutes later, I'm stood, standing at the bus stop peering into the sun trying to see a bus when I heard a drone, not dissimilar to the exhaust note of the C15 when it was sans tailbox (now it's through the MoT, I might take it off again - it's knocked a good 5 mph off its top speed!) - & an H-van went by. A "foodie truck" of course but in what may have been it's original fawn paint & nicely subdued (rather than distressed) signwriting & graphics.

Definitely not French - but got to be worth a shout!

Dropping down into Paignton on the Totnes Road this morning what should be coming towards me? A Routemaster! Obviously restored & in period LT livery, which just made it even more incongruous, surreal almost - loved it!

Two spots yesterday. N plate immaculate looking red 306 Sedan just coming off the A5 onto the H5 around lunchtime, closely followed by a dark blue 406 Coupe - though I can't for the life of me remember where.

Also recently have seen a couple of times, a vivid purple Renault Clio. It's a mint little car that takes me straight back to the mid 90s. That's been in the Kingston Tesco car park both times I saw it.

I saw this Citroen quite a few times during my stay in Southern Spain. The interior was first class but the outer paintwork was a bit ropey - maybe due to hot sunshine.

Ami 8 I reckon...

Paintwork does go ropey in that climate... Happens to older cars in Cyprus in the same way... There the sunlight used to kill the interiors so I'm surprised the interior is so good in that one..

Lovely spot in Milton Keynes around lunchtime today... An immaculate red S2 Xantia pulling out of Great Linford onto the V8 :)

Lots of headlamp flashing and hazards on as acknowledgement we'd seen each other :D

Made my day!

Well, travelling clockwise around the M25 (between J15 and J20) I saw a pair of Citroens in tandem at between 09:45 and 10:00. The lead was a GSA X1 (Y reg, in orange), while bringing up the rear was a sky blue (with white roof) DSSpecial, left hand drive, French reg, with a CitroenCarClub sticker in the rear windscreen (I did a thumbs up as they went past, and got noticed by the driver of the DS).
