Ok, the part I think you are interested in is number 6 in the diagram. It is called the 'Floor Console Glove-box' and is part number 7591 GR in Nero Mistral.goggi10 wrote:BL562351. THANKS
It is £21.31 inc. VAT from Citroen. (or 3081 Serbian Dinar)!

I think the OP wants to replace that with the one that has an ashtray (and, presumably, a cigar lighter).

I think he has the ashtray as they all do - the version he has probably has the blank area as per the picture above the ashtray and he wants the recess that has the retractable cover like the ashtray Paul. That is part 6, as opposed to the blank like part 4.

Must look at my own car to see what's going on there when I get home!

Re: Citroen c5 x7 drawer under radi
I've got the NG4 which is double DIN size, but I suspect there were several options on the single DIN units - some with the gap and no lid and others with the cover. I'll see if I can find some other pics

I've just realised that I was thinking of the Peugeot 308. D'oh! Apologies.Paul-R wrote:...an ashtray (and, presumably, a cigar lighter).

Re: Citroen c5 x7 drawer under radi
Can I ask a sort of related question pl?
I have the storage bin (with lid) but how is it removed? I have tried pulling but afraid I might break the lid?
(I need to remove the panel with the cigarette lighter to change the bulb?)
The garage says it is a radio out job and a big job but YouTube suggests it just pulls?
Thanks

Re: Citroen c5 x7 drawer under radi
Ok, I'm not understanding your description - the 12V accessory socket / cigar lighter is in the LOWER tray with closing flap immediately in front of the gear shift / stick. Is it the cigar lighter unit you want to check the bulb on? The lidded stowage unit above this isn't the cigar lighter (shown in the top 2 pictures in my post above).Filberton wrote:Can I ask a sort of related question pl?

So on this picture below - is it A or B you want to remove?

Re: Citroen c5 x7 drawer under radi
The lower cigar lighter compartment is attached to the central gearbox console surround and comes out as one piece with the ashtray unit attached.
- You'll need to unclip the gearbox lever / auto shift surround using a blunt plastic trim removal tool to carefully pry up the surround. There are 7 clips - 2 left and 2 right, 2 at the top and 1 at the bottom centre of the trim. You may be able to leave this loose rather than remove it completely, unless it is the Auto.
- Next remove the radio Head Unit - you will need a set of radio removal keys - depending on your type of unit - some use a flat blade type others the round type.
- Next you will need to remove the Climate Control unit - using a flat blunt plastic trim removal tool, there are 3 clips top and 2 bottom.
- Remove the 4 connectors for the single climate control system or the 5 connectors on the dual climate control system.
- Once you've done this, you should be able to see and unclip the lower glovebox lid.
- If you have the manual handbrake, you will need to remove the 6 clips either side of the handbrake gaiter and then slide this forwards to be able to access the central console clips.
- Now you should be able to see and detach the 6 clips on the central console using the blunt trim tool enough to see the 12V / ashtray underside and determine which bulbs these are and whether they are replaceable. I suspect they will be either a 1.2W small capsule bulb (the same as those in the sun Visor vanity mirror light units) or a W5W - however I think a W5W would be too bright and is more likely to be the former. There doesn't seem to be any documentation on this bulb - so fingers crossed it's not an LED that you probably won't be able to replace - although if that was the case, it would be unlikely to blow as they have a very long life span.
