Re: Citroen Relay wipers fault
Ok, I've just emailed you the 3 diagrams for the wiper circuit. BCM5 is the Multi Function Control Unit under the Steering Wheel as shown below:
This is linked to the BSI and from there to the Windscreen wiper motor (5015). Anyway I hope these help you.
If you do decide to investigate the under steering wheel unit - there may be a cable tie behind there that is designed to maintain the position of the rotary switch (this may only be for ESP enabled vehicles, which yours isn't, but just in case!).

Hi.
Yes, premature for wear, but maybe not for a sticking carbon brush, I will investigate.
Thanks for the links. When you say 'emailed' its not in my private messages, or email acct. Do you know where your message goes?
I will now have a play about this weekend, and hopefully find something. Sods law, Ive just binned the old motor so cant butcher it for parts.

Re: Citroen Relay wipers fault
Problem sort of solved. Today, I had no wipers at all in the morning. Its been very frosty, about -9 at night here. I parked the van facing the sun, and when it warmed up, I put the wipers on. Still no wipers, but then I tapped the wiper motor with a hammer, and got intermittent, speed 1 and flick wipe, and they park as well. Speed 2 was slow. So, looks likes something amiss in the motor, so Ill take it apart this weekend and have a look. Ill report back. Thanks for your help guys.

Re: Citroen Relay wipers fault
Dismantled the wiper motor, and some rusty water dribbled out. I dried it all out, and replaced the seal with a better one, reinstalled, making a little rain cover for it, and its all working perfectly.
Thanks for the excellent help on here. Free fix is always good.

Re: Citroen Relay wipers fault
I think he has already explained what he did - took the motor assembly apart and cleaned it out and replaced the seal.
The windscreen washers are unrelated to the wipers. Sounds like it is electrical - so is either probably something similar to the problem 'pogo001' had, or the Control Unit under the steering wheel may be playing up. A diagnosis with Lexia may rule in or out the Comms Unit, but I suggest having a look at the motor internals may be the quickest and easiest first step.
Assuming this is a Relay III:

Re: Citroen Relay wipers fault
Hey, I got a issue. So, driving along when its light rain and my wipers play up. No matter what I do with the right stalk it does nothing. I have just plugged my Autel in and commanded slow and fast wipe, perfect and yet, if I use the right stalk in intermittent it judders across the windscreen and play's up. Using live data on the autel I can see that there is no intermittent commands shown as the stalk is moved or intermittent speed adjust 1-4. So, Im guessing the stalk is ok. Once you "catch" it wiping, leaving in either slow or fast the wipers work fine, it's just if they're stopped or I use intermittent that they stop working. Shes an old motor 2008 with 175k on the odometer. 3.0 hdi Iveco engine (fantastic engine imho).. Im assuming since it's kinda outside the motor is probably my main suspect but Im more used to the motor's that have a cam and spinning contacts. I once has the schematics but no longer own that pc machine. So, kinda be useful to have the schematic but if someone can say the likely cause I'll start digging.. It's only a pain in light rain..

Re: Citroen Relay wipers fault
Hoping someone can help please - I was forced to jump start my trusty campervan, a 2005 Citroen Relay. Started ok, took it for a run for a few miles, returned home and put the battery on charge.
Couple of days later, went for a spin and it started raining - lo and behold, no windscreen wipers and no windscreen washer! My vehicle electrics knowledge is minimal. Any suggestions please?
